Halona Strong became our family "motto" for a number of reasons. My great grandpa and grandma, Barney and Annie Halona, have land in the New Mexico Chuska mountains where all of their posterity gathers together once a year to strengthen our family ties. My grandpa Wallace was one of the hardest working men I have ever met. He used and built on our land, a large pavilion for our annual gathering. Growing up, my parents instilled the importance of family and reunion and I am honored to be a Halona
